Terms of Use

These terms govern use of DocuLens and the related services provided by the DocuLens publisher. By installing, purchasing, or using DocuLens, you agree to these terms and any applicable Microsoft Marketplace terms.

License

Subject to payment and compliance with these terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DocuLens for the licensed term, plan, users, and machine count. You may not sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or use DocuLens to violate another party's rights.

Your documents and responsibilities

You retain ownership of your documents, photographs, and captions. You are responsible for having the right to use that content, maintaining appropriate backups, reviewing generated reports, and complying with professional, contractual, privacy, and record-retention obligations.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Marketplace purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, taxes, and payment processing are governed by the plan and policies displayed at purchase. Access may be limited or suspended when a subscription expires, payment fails, license limits are exceeded, or use threatens the security or operation of the service.

Updates and availability

DocuLens may receive security, compatibility, and feature updates. Availability can be affected by Microsoft Word, Microsoft 365, Azure, network connectivity, maintenance, or circumstances outside the publisher's control.

Warranty and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocuLens is provided “as is” without implied warranties. The publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, business, or opportunities. Any aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for DocuLens during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

Termination

You may stop using DocuLens at any time. The publisher may suspend or terminate access for material breach, unlawful use, security risk, or nonpayment, subject to applicable law and Marketplace terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law stated in the listing, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
