Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the DocuLens publisher handles information when you use DocuLens, its website, licensing service, and customer support.

Document and photograph content

DocuLens processes imported photographs, captions, and Word document structure within the Office add-in. The DocuLens licensing service does not receive or store the contents of your Word documents or imported photographs.

Information we process

Why we process information

We process this information to provide and secure the service, validate licenses, prevent abuse, administer subscriptions, respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability.

Service providers

DocuLens uses Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Marketplace services for hosting, identity, security, monitoring, email delivery, distribution, and—when purchased through Marketplace—billing. Those providers process information under their own contractual and privacy obligations.

Retention and deletion

Account, license, billing, security, and audit information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and any applicable legal requirements. Releasing a device activation removes its optional label while retaining the minimum activation history needed for licensing security and dispute resolution. Permanent deletion of the associated license removes its identifiable activation records. Requests to access, correct, or delete personal information may be sent to the privacy contact. Certain records may be retained when required for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations.

Security

DocuLens uses encrypted network connections, managed cloud identities, restricted administrative access, protected signing keys, monitoring, and backup controls. No system can guarantee absolute security.
